Revitalizing Grays Harbor Through Partnership

Every community has a story of renewal. Once a thriving hub of the logging industry, Grays Harbor now focuses on addressing legacy contamination, redeveloping vacant properties and strengthening its economy.

Watch how Onterris and the Grays Harbor Council of Governments partner to secure critical funding, overcome environmental challenges and create the foundation for redevelopment, investment and lasting community revitalization.

BROWNFIELDS AND COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION

Clearing the way for redevelopment across multiple cities

EPA Brownfield Grants are supporting projects that meet each community’s unique needs. In Aberdeen and Hoquiam, funding is helping advance a regional flood resilience project designed to reduce flood risk and encourage reinvestment.

In Westport, it is supporting a transformative reuse plan that reconnects the waterfront with downtown to boost tourism and community pride.

For nearly a decade, our Brownfields & Community Revitalization team has worked alongside the Grays Harbor Council of Governments to help communities navigate the complexities of brownfields redevelopment. Our team has supported dozens of projects across the county by securing funding, managing EPA Brownfields Grants, conducting environmental assessments and developing plans that prepare sites for future investment.
Onterris has been with us and helped us to forge our way. They know the funding programs in and out and we have benefited from several secondary programs because of Onterris expertise.
