Director, Integrated Environmental Health

About Mike

Mike Celente, MS, is a seasoned environmental and public health professional with extensive experience leading complex, multidisciplinary projects focused on air quality, exposure assessment, and human health risk. He serves as both project manager and technical lead, guiding teams of toxicologists, epidemiologists, engineers, and health scientists to deliver strategic consulting services addressing air quality exposures, permitting challenges, and public health concerns.

Mr. Celente provides expert guidance to clients navigating contested permit hearings and regulatory processes, interpreting air quality monitoring and modeling data from diverse sources, and translating complex technical health risk information into clear and actionable communication for stakeholders and regulatory agencies. He has provided expert testimony in rulemaking proceedings on topics including permitting, regulation development, air quality modeling, and public health concerns, and provides strategic support in preparation for litigation and trial.

With advanced expertise in air dispersion modeling, Mr. Celente conducts analyses to estimate inhalation exposures for both criteria pollutants and air toxics, directly supporting human health risk assessments as well as state permitting efforts. Mr. Celente has worked with clients in multiple industries including oil and gas, aggregate handling, chemical manufacturing, commercial sterilization, healthcare, mining, and general manufacturing. In addition to permitting experience, Mr. Celente also has a background in compliance auditing and has completed environmental audits for over a hundred facilities in various states.

Mr. Celente received a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Energy Systems Engineering and Sustainable Development, both from Lehigh University. His graduate research focused on indoor air quality in healthcare facilities, specifically potential exposure to volatile organic compounds.
