Steve Woodard, Ph.D., P.E., serves as Chief Innovation Officer at Onterris and brings more than 36 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment. He leads efforts to develop and commercialize novel treatment technologies targeting per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), 1,4-dioxane, specialty volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other emerging contaminants, advancing solutions that deliver progress for people and the planet. His focus is on finding ways to remove these challenging contaminants from the environment by developing sustainable and cost-effective treatment solutions.
Steve directs research and new product development and provides technical leadership across projects, including proposals, intellectual property and ongoing collaboration with the engineering and remediation communities. He also regularly presents and serves on expert panels worldwide.
He holds 39 patents spanning systems and methods for treating water, wastewater, groundwater and vapor and has authored multiple publications, including journal articles and textbook chapters. Steve earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Purdue University and is a Registered Professional Engineer.
